Our 160-acre health, wellness, and education campus provides a complete continuum of quality care. With 170 beds, and more than 1,500 employees, we offer a variety of medical services including diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, robotic surgery, urology, women's services, and our cardiac catheterization laboratory.South Lake Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. Interested candidates will have the following: Evaluates patients' progress toward attaining expected outcomes. Delegates, coordinates and documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful and consistent manner including, but not limited to, patient assessment, education, medication administration, treatments and patient safety. Competent in nursing skills and use of patient care/department equipment as defined by department specific requisite skills. Prioritizes patient care in an ongoing manner in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice. Practices effective problem identification and resolution. Delegates tasks and duties to healthcare team members in accordance with the patient's needs and the team member's capabilities and qualifications. Communicates appropriate information regarding patient condition or unit concerns to other health care team members. Supervises LPNs, students, and home health aides as required. Understands and respects age group, cultural and religious beliefs of clients, community and staff. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Respects the rights and privacy of others and holds staff member information in strict confidence. Maintains regular attendance and complies with time and attendance policy and procedure. Adheres to South Lake Hospital's policies and procedures; Mission, Vision and Values statements; Code of Conduct. Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards including Federal, State, local and Joint Commission. Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities. Uses problem-solving skills to meet goals. Enhances professional growth by participating in educational programs, current literature and/or workshops.Other Related Functions Participates in process improvement activities as assigned. Awareness of legal issues, patients' rights and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Practices efficient use of supplies and maintains a clean, safe and organized environment. Provides input for staff development needs, organization and/or department committees, nursing research activities, performance management activities of co-workers and self. Performs other related duties as needed.Education/Training Graduate from an approved school of nursing required. Licensure/Certification Current license in the State of Florida. Maintains current American Heart Associate BLS certification, and other certifications as required. (See Certification Attachment.) GN's must present seating pass to take Florida State Board of Nursing Licensing Examination. GN title may only be assumed for six months from date of graduation. Experience Based on area of assignemnt, two years of hospital experience may be required. Must meet unit specific performance competencies.
