Job Description
Home Health and Medicare regulations experience a must.
Must know filing and organization skills
The Medical Records role is a multi:functional, primarily focused on auditing medical records/files to ensure they are compliant with state and federal standards
Maintains Tracking Physicians Orders sending and receiving in a timely manner. Calling MD offices when orders are delayed
Medical records to ensure accuracy : including Medicare and other insurances patient notes place in medical records each week in correct order
Answering Phones on a multi:line system for follow up documentation for clients.
As our document tracker you will work with Intake, Sales, Clinical and Billing teams to ensure that our Medical Records are in order and correctly in place
:Maintain organized medical records and files assuring compliance with state/federal standards
:Continuously reviews open records for accuracy and completeness
:Contacts physicians and other professional as necessary to maintain complete records
accuracy/completeness of closed records
:Files patient information on individual charts in date order
:Monitors and processes physician certification forms for Medicare and other insurances
:Locates, signs out, and send out medical records requested by various companies in accordance with facility and state specific regulations
:Establishes and maintains medical and form inventories and SOC packets
:Ability to file charts in alphabetical order, file patient in notes in date order, track timeliness of documents being sent out or coming in. Notifies DON and Administrator when outstanding physician orders or Plan of Care are past the 30:day return date.
