Description
The Administrative Director of Medical Education provides effective leadership of the Department of Medical Education and Medical Library Services to ensure smooth running operations and quality services; directs the management and program development of the hospital's teaching programs, it's house staff and teaching faculty; ensures provision of the highest quality in pre and post doctoral training and fiscal viability of programs. Ensures program compliance with accrediting bodies. Actively recruits house staff, cultivates University affiliations, and promotes and facilitates Staff Development Program. Provides direction to department staff, sets goals and priorities in concert with organization's mission, strategic plan, resources and scope of services. Works collaboratively with all Quality Improvement measures and initiatives, including but not limited to Core Measures and HCAPS as it relates to the teaching program and faculty including in the area of continuity of care. Ensures appropriate Medical staff and house staff coverage, staffing efficiencies and resource needs. Promotes collaboration, referrals and fiscal viability.


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Administration, or Nursing required. Master's Degree desirable.
Six-ten years of experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience in an education role as well as a clinical setting.
Current FL RN licensure preferred.
Current BLS Instructor/Trainer certification preferred.
