Director, Fleet and Facilities
We are seeking an individual for a Regular position as a Director, Fleet and Facilities in the Financial and Support Services Division.
Director, Fleet and Facilities : Job Purpose:
Direct, coordinate, organize, and plan the operations of the Fleet and Facilities business units at multiple locations throughout the service territory. Oversee operational effectiveness for all facility and fleet operations including compliance with policies and regulations, and financial and budgetary management. Provide leadership and guidance to lead and support strategic sustainability initiatives.

Director, Fleet and Facilities : Primary Functions:
Develop, evaluate, and standardize division policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations;
Develop and administer the operations and capital budgets for fleet and facilities;
Manage staff, to include hiring personnel, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, development, and employee recognition;
Generate statistical reports on business activities;
Evaluate need for contracted fleet and facility services, make recommendations regarding the use and selection of outside contractors, develop scope of work and specifications, and coordinate with Procurement in negotiating vendor service contracts;
Identify, manage, and properly dispose of hazardous substances encountered or resulting from operations;
Set project goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, review projects progress and results;
Oversee facility space planning including consulting with various business units to address work space utilization;
Establish and oversee safety standards;
Provide subject matter expertise in facilities management methodology and practices including site maintenance, physical security, health and safety, space planning, environmental sustainability, business continuity, records management and other work environment priorities;
Manage the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities;
Manage and support change management activities effectively to reduce business disruption and meet intended objectives;
Provide insight and direction as a key role in OUCs Incident Command Center;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Director, Fleet and Facilities : Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Building Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in operations management
Minimum of three (7) years of
supervisory/management experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in interaction with vendors and suppliers related to automotive and/or facilities
Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) Program Certification preferred
Working knowledge of all, but not limited to the following:
o Operational vehicle usage metrics;
o Building management metrics;
o Leadership coaching;
o Vehicle emission compliance standards;
o Operational safety standards;
o Building and fleet clean energy standards;
o Building compliance standards;
o Performance appraisals;
o Project Management;
Familiarity with all, but not limited to the following:
o Construction management standards;
o Maintenance manuals;
o Contract leases;
o Preventative maintenance reports;
o Federal EPA reporting;
o Electrical and mechanical diagrams;
o Software Application (i.e. AutoCAD, Visio, Tungsten, Docusphere, Fuel Management System, Building Management Systems);
o Related industry, organizational and departmental regulatory guidelines, best practices, and procedures;
Ability to:
o Effectively communicate, written and verbally, with internal and external stakeholders
o Demonstrate leadership skills with ability to coach, train and
